What type of group workouts are these?
Workouts are instructor led in a group fitness format. This is not a bootcamp, this is a fitness class experience . We make your body move in new ways and incorporate high intensity interval training (HIIT), cardiovascular training, strength training, core conditioning and boxing to name a few. We make the absolute most of the 30 minutes we have with you and focus on effective, efficient results that burn off the calories you don't want floating around after your trip. Expect common exercises like Squats and Planks along with more unique exercises like the Boxer Shuffle, Gyros, Froggers, Plyo Lunges, Cradles and Archers to keep things fun and effective. Classes are designed for all levels to get in a great workout and (we've been told that) our soundtracks are freakin' awesome.
What is the social aspect all about? How do I get discounts and offers?
Icebreakers, team builders, raffles, endorphin rushes and more. We encourage a social atmosphere at our workouts so chances are you will meet someone new. We love our friends in the local business community in New Orleans and want to introduce you to the awesome things they do. So at the end of your workout, we raffle select offers to the local restaurants, bars, live shows and tours that Trip Advisor & Yelp have never heard about.
What levels are your fitness classes designed for?
Each workout allows beginners, intermediate, advanced and even elite levels to participate and get an equally challenging workout. You don't need to be a fitness nut to enjoy this class, but you'll still be happy if you are.
Do I need an exercise mat or equipment?
No, we got you covered.
How much does it cost and how do I register and see the schedule?
You can register, see pricing and our schedule by clicking RESERVATIONS. You must book through the website to make a reservation. We have NO CONTRACTS. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your class.
Where are you located?
New Orleans, Louisiana! We host our workouts in a beautiful and breezy outdoor circular gazebo overlooking the mighty Mississippi in the French Quarter in Woldenberg Riverfront Park right next to the Steamboat Natchez.
Do I need to bring my own water & towel to the workout?
Yes. We advise you to bring a bottle of water and a small towel (you may sweat...a little).
What should I wear to the workouts?
Exercise attire is appropriate. That can be t-shirts, tanks, shorts, sports bras and socks. Athletic shoes are required. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
How long do the workouts last?
30 minutes. We get plenty of work done and respect your time so you can galavant around the city.
Do you do corporate events?
Yes! We love making professionals sweat and host numerous corporate events and team builders. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Do you cater to groups?
Yes. If you have a group larger than 5, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure we can accommodate you at the time you would like.
I’m new to exercise, can I still come to your workouts?
Absolutely! Let the instructors know that you are new to exercise and pace yourself.
What if I have an injury?
If you have been cleared to partake in exercise by your doctor, you are welcome to join. Our instructors are knowledgable, certified group fitness instructors, personal trainers and have first aid + CPR experience. Please inform them of your injury and if there is a particular exercise you are uncomfortable with, they will provide modifiers for you.
Do you cancel for rain or inclement weather?
Is there a place to lock up my stuff at a workout?
We keep belongings close to us and within a reachable distance so there is nothing to worry about and your stuff will be perfectly safe. For precautions sake, please don’t bring excessive valuables.
What type of certifications do instructors hold?
Our instructors are certified by accredited bodies of diet and exercise with national and international recognition. Commonly our instructors hold ACE (American Council on Exercise) personal training certifications as well as AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) group fitness certifications. In addition, many instructors have certifications in CPR and AED.
Is there any age restriction to join?
We ask that participants be at least 16 years of age or come with a supervising adult.
Do you accept Class Pass?
Currently we do not accept Class Pass.
